Simple grounding practices even like walking barefoot can comes with a parasites (hookworms) that suck out our blood, iron and other nutrients. How about our pets?! - Massive source of parasites! Simple swim in the river, lake…(Naegleria fowleri, Giardia duodenalis) here we comes with other types of parasites. Rare or midium rare steak ? You will say - ohh thanks goodness I’m only eating vegetarian sushi! - but are they not prepared by the same hand that where holding raw fish first?
No, it is not about living in constant fear but
being conscious that our choices comes with consequences, and we can still enjoy our life but be more mindful
There is a reason why many cultures consume certain spices or foods regularly, as they can make our bodies inhospitable to parasites. Additionally, it is essential to cleanse our bodies of parasites at least twice a year. Considering the health issues that can arise from an overload of parasites in various parts of the body, such as the gut, liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, blood, brain, joints, and more, it is important to take back our own health in our own hands.
Let’s go more into specifics!
Parasites can cause a range of health issues, majority of health issues are caused by a combination of factors, also including environmental factors and our lifestyle choices.
Here are some examples of health issues that can be caused by parasites:
Respiratory Issues:
Parasitic infections like lung flukes (Paragonimus spp.) and certain species of roundworms (Ascaris spp.) can infect the lungs and cause respiratory symptoms such as cough, chest pain, asthma symptoms, and difficulty breathing.
Gut Issues:
Parasites such as Giardia lamblia, Ascaris, Cryptosporidium, and Entamoeba histolytica, Tapeworms (taeniasis) can cause gastrointestinal infections, leading to symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, cramps, nausea, and weight loss, weight gain, issues with absorption of nutrients and
Neurological Issues:
Certain parasitic infections can affect the central nervous system and lead to neurological symptoms. For example, brain eating amobea, or the parasite Toxoplasma gondii (often infection from cats) has been associated with behavioral changes, psychiatric disorders and cognitive impairments.
Liver and Biliary Tract Disorders:
Parasitic infections like liver fluke and schistosomiasis can lead to liver and biliary tract disorders, including liver inflammation, fibrosis, and bile duct obstruction.
Weakened Immune System:
Chronic parasitic infections can weaken the immune system, making individuals more susceptible to other infections and diseases. Eosinophilia: Some parasitic infections can trigger an immune response in the body, leading to an increased number of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell. This condition is known as eosinophilia and can be seen in parasitic infections such as filariasis, strongyloidiasis, and toxocariasis.
Malnutrition, Anemia, blood issues:
Some parasitic infections can interfere with the absorption and utilisation of nutrients, leading to malnutrition. This can occur in infections caused by parasites like intestinal worms (e.g., hookworms, whipworms) and protozoa (e.g., Giardia).Anemia and Blood issues:
Certain parasites, including hookworms, can cause anemia by feeding on blood or disrupting the body's ability to absorb nutrients like iron, leading to low red blood cell count and decreased oxygen-carrying capacity.
This is especially significant with young kids and how this impacts their development.
Vector-Borne Diseases:
Mosquito-borne parasites such as Plasmodium (causing malaria), Trypanosoma (causing African trypanosomiasis), and Leishmania (causing leishmaniasis) can cause a range of symptoms, including fever, fatigue, organ damage, and in severe cases, death.
Skin Infections:
Parasitic infections like scabies (caused by Sarcoptes scabiei mites) and cutaneous larva migrans (caused by hookworm larvae) can cause skin rashes, itching, and inflammation.
Eye Infections:
Parasitic infections can affect the eyes and cause symptoms such as eye redness, itching, visual disturbances, and in some cases, vision loss. Examples include infections caused by Onchocerca volvulus (river blindness) and Acanthamoeba. Acanthamoeba parasites infect the cornea, the transparent covering of the eye
Allergic Reactions:
Parasitic infections can sometimes trigger allergic reactions in individuals, leading to symptoms such as itching, skin rashes, hives, and respiratory distress, not to mention “food allergies” that often are reactions to parasites coming in contact with food that works againts those parasites (like cramps, pain). This is often seen in infections caused by parasites like hookworms and schistosomes.
It’s important to understand that not everyone infected with parasites will exhibit these exact health issues or symptoms. The symptoms and complications can vary significantly based on factors such as the type of parasite, the extent of the infection, an individual's immune response, and any underlying health conditions.
